Senior training kicks off for the new season 08/09, Tuesday’s at 7.30pm. All are welcome, existing players and those interested to join. Training takes place on or near the rugby pitch at Watton Sports Centre at 19:30.
Watton Junior Rugby Club are eagerly awaiting the start of the new season, which is expected to be the biggest and best yet. To kick off the new season we are having an evening of fun and games with a FREE barbecue on Tuesday 9th September from 6.30pm.
After many months of waiting the new Watton Rugby Club Website is now live!
All games are complete and the dust has settled from the 2006/07 season. Thoughts now turn to the next season and the proposed league structure has now been released for next season.
After a successful first season in Norfolk Merit League 1, Watton finished joint top with Holt II and Diss II. Unfortunately Diss then became the league winners on goal difference, congratulations to them.
Following on from our success last season, Watton beat Norwich Union (5-12) to reach the Norfolk Junior Cup Final where they will play Fakenham (date to be confirmed).
On Sunday 18th March Watton beat Lakenham Hewitt 23-21 with a last gasp penalty to win the Norfolk junior Plate for the first time in the club’s history.
